Jewelry designer Kristy Nuttall has been making beautiful things her entire life. Always creative, she's had a variety of ambitious art projects in the works since she was old enough to tie her shoes. In the early 90's, after noticing a dainty necklace of a character on the television show "Friends" and the explosive popularity of the same necklace in the general public, Kristy said to herself, "Heck, I can make that."
Little did she know her hobby would lead to the creation of her jewelry business, My Little Pretty. She made one simple necklace--people noticed and commented on it. Jewlery designing soon became Kristy's passion. Wearing her own creations always led to curious admirers wondering where she found such eye-catching necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Her beaded, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces were eagerly sought-after by friends and family, who were constantly asked where they got such original pieces.
Kristy expanded her budding jewelry business in 2000 with in-home parties for friends and friends-of-friends. Word of mouth spread with each party. Her loyal My Little Pretty customers say it's the energy and emotion she puts into each of her pieces that makes everyone adore her designs. Using everything from porcelain beads to coral stones to antique crystals, Kristy blends earthy elements and sparkling gems to create her own signature style.
In 2002, Kristy decided to give her hobby-turned-business a name. A fan of the Wizard of Oz, she chose "My Little Pretty". Today, she has customers throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
